Goldman Sachs Asset Management has appointed Michael Moran in a newly created position of pension strategist.

Goldman Sachs Asset Management has appointed Michael Moran in a newly created position of pension strategist, Pensions & Investments reports. He will concentrate on areas, such as plan funded status, contribution activity and dynamic asset allocation. He will be working with clients on issues specific to their defined benefit and defined contribution plans.

Previously, Moran was with global investment banking and securities firm Goldman Sachs & Co.’s Global Markets Institute as a vice president. At the institute, he advised corporate, government and investment clients on matters related to capital markets, financial reporting, valuation, asset allocation and regulatory issues.
