Mobile phone operator, Zain Iraq, has secured a $400 million loan, Reuters reports. Zain Iraq has received the seven-year debt facility from the World Bank’s investment arm, the International Finance Corporation (IFC). The proceeds will help Zain Iraq expand and improve telecommunications services in Iraq. Zain Iraq, which is the Iraqi unit of telecom company Zain, has 12 million customers in Iraq.
