Skandia has overhauled its £60 million Bond Income fund, reducing charges and providing the portfolio UCITS status, Investment Week reports. The group lowered cut the fund’s annual management charge from 1.25% to 0.8% and rebranded it to Strategic Bond fund.
The company also removed the fund’s income smoothing mechanism and introduced dollar and euro hedged share classes. The fund’s UCITS status will allow its managers, Adam Smears and Anthony Gillhamn, to take advantage of the widest possible range of investment opportunities, adds Fund Web.
