BNYM Global Market Chief To Exit

Richard Mahoney, the executive in charge of global markets at Bank of New York Mellon, is retiring from his position.

Richard Mahoney, the executive in charge of global markets at Bank of New York Mellon, is retiring from his position, The Wall Street Journal reports. He will retire from the firm by the end of June 2011.

Mahoney’s global markets unit includes a foreign-exchange business, which is the target of state probes and litigation in Virginia and Florida. He joined BNY Mellon in 1993 from Citigroup.
