Bank of America Merrill Lynch (BAML), provider of global commercial and corporate banking and markets solutions for businesses and organizations, has appointed Janet Thomas as a director to strengthen its European presence in foreign exchange prime brokerage (FXPB), FX Week reports. Based in London, she is reporting to Tony Dalton, global head of FX prime brokerage in New York.
Thomas is in charge of FX prime brokerage sales for Europe, the Middle East and Africa. She was with Citi for five years and has also worked at ABN Amro. In addition, the bank has also hired Eric Hirschhorn as co-head of global rates and currencies technology from Morgan Stanley and Peter Johnson as managing director and head of global futures and over-the-counter clearing from J.P. Morgan.
