Newton Investment Management is planning to close its £3.5 million Japan fund, Financial Times reports. The company has notified its clients of the proposed closure and will confirm the date of closure by the end of this week. The fund will be shut owing to underperformance and its small size, which makes it economically unviable. The manager of the portfolio, Ewan Brown, has left Newton, adds Money Marketing.
