Direct Edge has appointed Thomas McManus as its chief compliance and regulatory officer. In his new role, he will be responsible for the fulfillment of the bourses compliance and regulatory obligations, which include the operation of the EDGA and EDGX Exchanges.
McManus will be directly working under Direct Edge CEO, William O’Brien. He joins from Barclays Capital, the investment banking division of Barclays Bank, where he was serving as the head of compliance, Americas.
