BlackRock has appointed Mark McCombe as chairman of the Asia-Pacific region, Financial Times reports. He replaces Rohit Bhagat, whose two-year term ends later this year, adds Pensions & Investments.
McCombe will work under CEO Laurence Fink. Previously, McCombe was CEO of HSBC Hong Kong, where Anita Fung, group general manager, is succeeding him. As of June 30, BlackRock had about $372.8 billion in assets under management in Asia-Pacific.
