San Francisco City & County Employees’ Retirement System (SFERS) has dropped Ashmore Investment Management, Pensions & Investments. Ashmore was managing $18 million in an emerging markets equity strategy for the $15.1 billion system.
The investment manager, which was terminated due to poor performance, had been under review since the third quarter 2009. The money has been transferred to emerging markets ETFs.
