Robert Long has been appointed by Boston-based equity financing provider Webster Capital as a senior general partner and a member of the investment committee, Private Equity Hub reports. He will boost the firm’s ability to originate and head buyouts of growing middle market companies in the consumer and business services sectors.
Formerly, Long developed a senior and mezzanine debt business at Allied Capital, which merged into specialty finance company Ares Capital Corp. in April 2010. He has also worked at investment banking provider Montgomery Securities, now Banc of America Securities as partner.
