The New York City Retirement Systems is looking to hire at least one brokerage services firm, Pensions & Investments reports. The hired firm will help the retirement system for possible sale of interests in the systems’ private equity partnerships.
As of September 30, various city plans had more than 160 funds in their private equity portfolios with about $12.6 billion in commitments. The proposals are due by June 21, while selections will be made in August.
