E.U. Derivatives Proposals Seen Creating Clearing Barriers

The Alternative Investment Management Association has said that over-the-counter derivatives regulations proposed in the European Union could erect “new barriers to international clearing.”

The Alternative Investment Management Association has said that over-the-counter derivatives regulations proposed in the European Union could erect “new barriers to international clearing.” AIMA has called on the E.U. to reconsider the provision of the European Market Infrastructure Regulation that would impose mandatory clearing.
