Cisco Systems has acquired privately held software company, newScale, The Wall Street Journal reports. Cisco is considering offering newScale both as a standalone product and eventually as a part of a broader package of technologies.
The transaction, financial terms of which were not disclosed, is expected to be completed in the second half of this year, adds Reuters. newScale, which makes portals for cloud computing, has more than two million users globally.
