Teladoc, which provides healthcare and medical care via telephone and videoconferencing, has raised $18.6 million in venture capital financing. The investment round was led by Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers.
Existing investors Cardinal Partners, HLM Venture Partners, Trident Capital and New Capital Partners also took part in the latest round of funding. The company, led by Jason Gorevic, has been offering healthcare services since 2002, adds Texas Tech Pulse.
