Banco do Brasil is seeking to expand in markets outside Brazil, Bloomberg reports. The bank may acquire lenders in Colombia, Peru and Chile to benefit from the regions’ economic growth. The acquisitions will help Banco do Brasil attract corporate clients and boost business with Brazilian companies. The International Monetary Fund anticipates that Latin America will grow by 4.7% in 2011, as compared to 6.1% in 2010.
