Instinet’s Canadian subsidiary has launched a new electronic trading platform in Canada. The newly launched platform aims to facilitate trades in shares of the roughly 200 companies listed in both Canada and the U.S., adds Financial Times. The platform routes orders to 18 U.S. trading venues and six Canadian, including nine dark pools. Instinet has also begun the regulatory filing process to launch a Canadian alternative trading system, Instinet Canada Cross (ICX).
