Columbia’s South Carolina Retirement System Investment Commission has raised its commitment to two of its strategic investment partners, Pensions & Investments reports. It increased its allocation to Avenue Capital Management by nearly $250 million.
Hedge fund management firm DE Shaw has also been committed a value of $750 million. The new commitment includes and combines two existing allocations to DE Shaw that totaled $450 million.
