New York–based money management firm Van Eck Global is planning to roll out an equity ETF focused on small-cap Indonesian stocks, Index Universe reports. The Market Vectors Indonesia Small-Cap ETF will be the third after the existing Indonesia Index ETF and the IShares Investible Market Index Fund.
The new Van Eck fund will invest 80 percent of its assets in securities listed in the ETF’s benchmark the proprietary Market Vectors Indonesia Small-Cap Index. A company will be considered Indonesian if it is based in Indonesia, listed on an exchange there or generates at least 50 percent of its revenues in Indonesia.
