Nomura Names Global M&A Head

Nomura has appointed Piero Novelli as its new head of global mergers and acquisitions.

Nomura has appointed Piero Novelli as its new head of global mergers and acquisitions (M&A), Mondovisione reports. He will join the Japanese bank from UBS, where he held the same position.

Based in London, Novelli will work alongside global co-head of M&A, Kentaro Okuda. Novelli will also be a member of the investment banking executive committee and will report to joint heads of investment banking, William Vereker and Hiroyuki Suzuki.
