Federal-Mogul has appointed Lazard Freres & Company to help explore strategic alternatives, The Wall Street Journal reports. Lazard will help the auto-parts supplier evaluate options to boost shareholders’ value. Carl Icahn controlled 76% of Federal-Mogul’s shares as of January 1. The windshield wipers and pistons maker emerged from bankruptcy about three years ago.
