M&G Investments’ former head of equities, David Jane, has set up a new multi-asset boutique, Darwin Investment Managers, Financial Times reports. He has launched the new firm with a former colleague at Newton Investment Management, Anthony Esse, who will be a director.Jane is in discussions to secure the Financial Securities Authority’s approval to start approaching IFAs and is in talks to hire fund managers to head up its planned U.K.-domiciled products. The planned funds may be based on the structure used for the multi-asset funds that he managed at M&G.
