Hans-Bernd Menzel has quit from his current role as CEO of the French-German energy exchange, EEX, Reuters reports. The move was initiated after Deutsche Boerse acquired a majority stake in the Leipzig-based bourse. The supervisory board has agreed to Menzel’s request and his responsibilities will be taken over by Iris Weidinger and Christoph Mura. Weidinger will take responsibility for communications and PR in addition to her tasks as CFO, while Mura will be responsible for the strategic and legal department of EEX, adds Mondovisione.
