The American Academy of Actuaries (AAA) has appointed Donald Fuerst as its senior pension fellow. In his new role, Fuerst will be the U.S. actuarial profession’s chief public policy liaison on pension, social security and other retirement security matters. He succeeds Frank Todisco, who had left the professional association to become chief actuary at the U.S. Government Accountability Office. Fuerst, who has been a member of the AAA since 1978, previously served at Mercer’s Denver office as a senior partner and consulting actuary.
