Ireland’s central bank is likely to declare the results of stress tests of four major banks, The Wall Street Journal reports. The results may require lenders to raise a combined €20 billion in additional capital.
The banks whose results are to be declared are Irish Life, Bank of Ireland, Allied Irish Banks and EBS Building Society. Ireland’s banking sector received around €35 billion in capital injections during the financial crisis.
