The Illinois State Universities Retirement System (SURS), Champaign, is planning to issue a request for proposal (RFP) for global custodian and securities lending services in October, Pensions & Investments reports. Investment consultant Callan Associates is assisting in the search. The $14.3 billion system’s current global custodian Northern Trust and current securities lending agent Credit Suisse Group may bid again. The search, due every five years, is in accordance with the system’s normal business practice.
