Alfa is considering spinning off its units, Reuters reports. The Mexican conglomerate, which owns food, petrochemical, telecommunications and auto parts businesses, plans to spend $435 million across all of its units in 2011. Alfa is expecting about 14% growth in its revenue this year. Alfa’s food unit, Sigma, may have revenue of $3.1 billion in 2011, while its telecommunications company, Alestra may contribute $375 million in revenue.
