Eaga Gets £300M For Solar Panel Scheme

Eaga has secured a £300 million loan from a group of banks, including HSBC, Lloyds Banking Group and Santander.

Eaga has secured a £300 million loan from a group of banks, including HSBC, Lloyds Banking Group and Santander, Reuters reports. The investment includes £75 million in equity and £225 million in debt financing for the U.K. energy efficiency specialist.
The equity will be invested in a newly created special purpose vehicle to back a solar panel scheme. Eaga has already signed some agreements with public housing landlords to install its photovoltaic systems.
