TeliaSonera has offered a bid for Polish mobile operator, Polkomtel, The Wall Street Journal reports. The deal is estimated to be valued at about $6.02 billion and may be finalized by the first half of 2011. Polkomtel’s owners, including oil refiner PKN Orlen, copper miner KGHM Polska Miedz, and power group PGE Polska Grupa Energetyczna, will evaluate the offer by March 2011. ING Securities is acting as the advisor for PGE, Nomura Holdings is advising PKN Orlen, while Rothschild is advising KGHM.
