French chemicals company, Rhodia, has bought a stake in Aster Capital’s venture capital fund, Aster II, Private Equity Wire reports. The vehicle, which targets energy, advanced materials and environment sectors, is likely to raise €120-150 million.
Alstom, Rhodia and French electrical company, Schneider Electric, are the three sponsors for the multi-corporate venture capital fund targeting innovative technology start-ups. The financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
