LXB Retail Properties has acquired two town centre plots in Staffordshire for £70 million, BBC News reports. The property investor bought the old Riverside Recreation Centre and obtained the leasehold of the closed Bridge Street multi-storey car park.
The development scheme is expected to create 650 employment opportunities. The main store on the Riverside site will be leased to retailer Marks & Spencer, adds Staffordshire Newsletter.
