CIBC World Markets has expanded its financial solutions group with the appointment of three new executives, The Wall Street Journal reports. The investment banking unit of Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce has hired Kathy Kriskey and Susan Palmer for its New York office and Mario Cianfarani, who will be based in Toronto.
In their respective roles, Kriskey and Palmer will be responsible for developing commodity index products and distributing them to institutional investors, while Cianfarani will focus on the dealer’s equities derivatives business in options products. Kriskey is joining the firm from Jefferies Asset Management, Palmer from Gresham Investment Management and Cianfarani is coming from National Bank Financial.
