The Johns Hopkins University has set up a 14-member Benefits Advisory Committee to evaluate the market competitiveness of its benefits package, The JHU Gazette reports. The benefits package includes health care coverage, a tuition remission program, retirement plans and life insurance. The university is seeking to reduce its costs by $15 million annually. The university’s actual benefits program costs in 2010 were about $342 million, an increase of 25% from 2006.
