The world’s second-largest software maker Oracle Corp. is taking over Bozeman-based RightNow Technologies for $1.5 billion, Bloomberg reports. California-based Oracle will this get access to customer service expertise to boost a new Internet-based product.
The transaction will add software that helps companies cater to customers using call centers, Internet and social networks. The RightNow acquisition is the biggest that Oracle has undertaken since its purchase of Sun Microsystems in January 2010.
