RIT Capital Partners will start selling gold after fully utilizing the high gold prices, Citywire reports. Chairman of RIT Capital Jacob Rothschild has cautioned that although the firm has benefitted from a rise in commodity prices a new regime may soon follow.

The global growth trust has reported a 9.3% total return on its portfolio as compared to 5.2% for the MSCI World Index over the period 2010-11. The trust has invested 15.4% of its assets in liquidity assets with 14.7% in individual shares, 39.1% in funds and the reminder in private equity, fixed income and real assets.
