Uganda’s National Social Security Fund (NSSF) has reduced its interest rates on members’ contributions, Bloomberg reports, citing Daily Monitor. The interest has been cut from 7 percent in 2010 to 6 percent. The move follows a slowdown in the economy and costs incurred in a lawsuit. The fund is needed to deposit $5 million with the Supreme Court over a lawsuit by a Kenyan company contesting the NSSF’s termination of a building agreement.
