Entergy has called off a plan to sell its Vermont nuclear power plant as it was unable to find a buyer for the reactor, The Wall Street Journal reports. In November 2010, the U.S. nuclear-power generator had put the Vermont Yankee plant up for sale.

The reactor’s operating license expires in March next year. Entergy has reached an agreement to sell power from the reactor for 20 years to the Vermont Electric Cooperative. The deal is dependant on the plant being able to continue operating.
