Chilean electric transmission company, Transelec, has raised $307 million in a sale of bonds, Reuters reports. The three bonds, denominated in inflation-indexed peso units, were sold in the local market to pay down debt. Transelec placed a five-year bond at a yield of 3.74%, a 21.5-year bond at a yield of 4.20% and a 28-year bond at a yield of 4.24%. Brookfield Asset Management is handling the debt issued by Transelec.
