BofA Sells Canada Card Business

Bank of America has sold its $8.5 billion Canadian credit-card business to TD Bank.

Bank of America has sold its $8.5 billion Canadian credit-card business to TD Bank. The transaction, which is set to close in the fourth quarter, is pending regulatory approval. Under the terms of the deal, the Toronto-based bank will acquire MBNA Canada’s credit card portfolio as well as certain other assets and liabilities. The financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
