Christopher Adams has joined HSBC Global Asset Management as director, senior product specialist, equities, Asia Asset reports. He will be based in Hong Kong and work locally under Alfred Yip, head of product, Asia-Pacific, and functionally under Melissa McDonald, global head of product, equities and responsible investment.
Adams will support the firm’s Asian equity capability, including greater China equities. He joins HSBC from global investment and risk manager BlackRock’s Asia ex Japan active equity capability, where he was vice president, product specialist. He also worked in a similar capacity at Prudential Asset Management, Hong Kong. As of June, HSBC Global Asset Management had $453.4 billion assets under management.
