Sylvia Burwell is leaving the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, The Seattle Times reports. She has been president of the foundation’s Global Development Program since 2006. Prior to this, Burwell was COO of the foundation from 2001 to 2006. She was a deputy chief of staff to former U.S. president Bill Clinton.
