Texas-based investment adviser Ascendant Advisors has rolled out the Ascendant National Resources Fund, Ascendant Multi-Cap Equity Fund and Ascendant Balanced Fund. The vehicles will enable mutual fund investors’ access to Ascendant’s investment strategies.
The firm has teamed with pooled investment solutions provider Gemini Fund Services for defining and executing the distribution and marketing plans of the funds, which are to be managed by Paul Wigdor. The natural resource fund will track the S&P North American Natural Resource Sector Index, the equity fund will be benchmarked against the S&P 1500 index, and the balanced fund will track a 60/40 blend of the S&P 1500 and Merrill Lynch Master Government/Credit Bond Index.
