The $37.1 billion Teachers’ Retirement System of the State of Illinois (TRS Illinois) has awarded a $371 million mandate to Manulife Asset Management. The core-plus global multi-sector fixed-income strategy mandate will be managed by Manulife’s strategic fixed-income team. The team is headed by Daniel Janis and Thomas Goggins. In April, Manulife also won a $250 million mandate for strategic fixed income from the Public Employees Retirement Association of New Mexico.
