HP is acquiring U.K. software firm Autonomy for nearly $10.25 billion, The Wall Street Journal reports. HP is also is considering spinning off its PC business.
The acquisition of Autonomy will help the computer maker venture deeper into the business of analyzing data for corporations. Barclays Capital and Perella Weinberg Partners advised HP and Citigroup, Goldman Sachs, UBS and JP Morgan Chase advised Autonomy.
