SEC Names General Counsel

The Securities and Exchange Commission has appointed Mark Cahn as general counsel.

The Securities and Exchange Commission has appointed Mark Cahn as general counsel. He will replace the outgoing general counsel, David Becker. Previously, Cahn was the deputy general counsel for Litigation and Adjudication at the SEC. Before joining the SEC in 2009, Cahn had worked with WilmerHale, where he was a partner in the firm’s securities litigation and enforcement practice.
