Hedge fund manager, FrontPoint Partners, is shutting down some its hedge funds, The Wall Street Journal reports. The firm has not disclosed the names of the portfolios that will be closed.
Most of the strategies of FrontPoint will be closed down by the end of May 2011, adds FINalternatives. The remaining core strategies will continue to invest client assets. The funds are being shut due to investor redemptions.
