Citigroup has appointed Stuart Popham as vice-chairman of banking for Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA), Financial Times reports. He will be joining the bank in July and focus on building relationships with key clients as well as negotiating the new regulations in Europe and the US. Popham is joining Citigroup from Clifford Chance, where he was a senior partner and stepped down in December last year. He will continue as Chairman of TheCityU.K., a trade body formed to promote U.K.’s financial services sector abroad.
