British Sky Broadcasting Group (BSkyB) has acquired Wi-Fi operator, The Cloud, The Wall Street Journal reports. The public satellite broadcasting company paid under £50 million for the acquisition.
With the acquisition, the buyer has enhanced its operations and will have ownership of about 5,000 public Wi-Fi locations across the U.K. It will also balance BSkyB’s current broadband services by offering customers an option for Wi-Fi connectivity.
