Merchant Navy Officers’ Pension Fund (MNOPF) has named Hymans Robertson as independent investment adviser, IPE reports. A team headed by John Dickson will monitor and challenge the decisions made by its delegated CIO Towers Watson.
The £3.3bn pension scheme was advised by IC Select on the appointment. The mandate will allow the fund to set up a new standard for investment governance. Towers Watson was re-hired as delegated CIO in October 2010, having served as investment adviser to the scheme since 1990.
