NYSTRS Renews $7.14B Mandates

Albany-based New York State Teachers’ Retirement System (NYSTRS) has renewed its agreement with six money management firms to manage investments worth $7.14 billion.

Albany-based New York State Teachers’ Retirement System (NYSTRS) has renewed its agreement with six money management firms to manage investments worth $7.14 billion, Pensions & Investments reports. BlackRock has been reappointed to handle $5.6 billion in passive international equities and Progress Investment Management will oversee $554.4 million in a domestic equity fund of funds.

Nearly $399.6 million in domestic enhanced index equities will be managed by T Rowe Price. William Blair will be responsible for $275.2 million in international growth equities. Prima Capital Advisors will handle $158.6 million in CMBS and REIT bonds, while Cohen & Steers will run $149.4 million in REITs and real estate operating companies.
