Private equity firm specializing in the technology sector Vector Capital has acquired RAE Systems for about $138 million. In connection with the deal, Vector partnered with CITIC Capital Partners, a Chinese private equity firm. UBS Investment Bank is serving as financial advisor to the special committee of the board of directors of RAE, while Fenwick & West is RAE’s legal advisor, adds Market Wire. Shearman & Sterling has been named as Vector’s legal advisor and Silicon Valley Bank is providing financing for the deal.
